Marvelous Magnolia #3 'Traditional X-mas Colours'

Hey all, today it's time for another fabulous challenge at Marvelous Magnolia. Today we'd like to see you use 'Traditional Christmas Colours'. We have some fab prizes in store for the lucky winner from Magnolia-licious & The Ribbon Girl - 2 of my fave shops! We also have some really great inspiration from the design team for you too, so don't forget to head over to the challenge blog & check out their scrummy creations!

Anyhow on to my card, I've done so many 6x6" cards recently that I thought it was about time for one of my more interesting layouts & I haven't done the half circle blank with circular topper thing for quite some time now, so that's just what I made...

This is actually a Summer Tilda stamp, but I thought she looked just as good as a Christmas fairy! She has been coloured with Distress Inks & highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust.

Distress Inks:
Skin - Tattered Rose, Old Paper
Hair - Antique Linen, Walnut Satin, Scattered Straw
Top, Boots, Flower - Victorian Velvet, Fired Brick
Shorts, boots trim & foliage - Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage
Crown - Pumice Stone
Shading - Pumice Stone & Black Soot

I sprayed the ocversized fairy charm with white primer spray paint & tied her with twine in a double bow. The mini-alphas have been stuck onto kraft cardstock tabs that I made for the sentiment. Shabby ribbon bow made with seam binding & set with a buttin & Santa Rocks brad!

I made some more little scrolls, this time tied with twine, I also made an ornate pin from metal spacers & pearl beads, these flowers are from WOC.

Stunning ribbon flowers above are by Maya Road.

Dies Used:
Magnolia Doo Hickey Lovely Fence & So Wrapped Lovely
Spellbinders Nestabilities Circles & Scalloped Circles

Then don't forget to enter your wordly creations - we'd love to see what you make!

Due to the time of year (it's freezing & me not having got to grips with my festive makes yet this year, I thought I'd do a Christmas North Pole scene & this pretty little LOTV fairy stamp was just the ticket!

Here's a closer look...

Lying Tilda - 'Under The Christmas Tree'

Hi all & today I'm posting a card I have been working on for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. They have a really lovely theme, which is birthstones...

.. I wasn't sure what mine was, so after I looked it up on the chart & found it was Peridot (August), I instinctively thought of a Christmas tree & the shade of green on my new Pion papers that matched the Peridot perfectly. So I decided to use my 'Lying Tilda' & Stamps Away Christmas Tree background to make a cosy, winter night in scene...under the Christmas tree!

Appologies for the photos - my cameras not great unless its nice & bright outside, it really struggles if I take them in the evening under artificial light. Anyways, here's a closer look..

It is coloured with Distress Inks then highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust.
